Nifty knitters needed!

Knit a Care Square is a community initiative run by Real Time Heart-Based, a community project creating a more caring heart-based world and bringing happiness and wellness to individuals and communities.

A project that has grown over the last 4 years – driven by the community, for the community, knitters come together to knit individual squares which are joined together with blue wool to create a blanket for someone in need in the community. The program has grown from 15 blankets (600+ squares) in 2017, to 500 blankets (20,000+ squares) in 2020!

Treasure Boxes is pleased to be hosting a Knit a Care Square knitting group in our Edwardstown volunteer hub, allowing people to come together to create social connections whilst knitting blankets that will be distributed by Treasure Boxes to vulnerable SA babies, kids and teens.

Time: Mondays 10am – 12pm

Date: Group starts 11 October 2021
