Volunteers at Treasure Boxes play a valuable role in our organisation, embodying qualities of loyalty, passion, and extraordinary dedication. Their hard work is the backbone of our organisation, ensuring inclusivity and fostering a supportive environment. We deeply value and appreciate the significant hours our volunteers generously contribute, recognising their vital impact on our mission and the families we support.
We are always searching for Volunteers who are passionate about creating change.
Volunteer Roles
All Positions
Volunteers must commit to one shift every fortnight as a minimum. You can choose the day you wish to volunteer and the length of time you are on site. We provide a full induction and training.
General Warehouse Volunteer
General volunteers sort, check and pack donated items, and provide general warehouse support.
Welcomer
As a welcomer you will be the face of Treasure Boxes as each donor is greeted by a volunteer. Donations are received and items must be assessed before accepting them.
Baby Boutique
We run a beautifully presented children’s op shop on site in Edwardstown. Volunteers will be required to maintain the presentation and stock in the Baby Boutique. Interact with customers and process sales using a POS and Eftpos machine. Full training is provided. You must commit to one 4hr shift per week – positions are limited.
Delivery Driver
Use our company vehicle to deliver goods direct to families, pick up donations and run errands. You must be able to drive a van and a trailer. You will be required to have a current driver’s license, a National Police Check with no driving offences and complete a minimum of 4 shifts with an experienced Treasure Boxes driver. You must commit to one 4hr shift per week – positions are limited.
Workshop
Volunteers safety check large nursery furniture including cots, change tables, bassinets, car seats and prams. All items must be cleaned and assessed before sending them to our families.
