Boots for Boxes Volunteer

Boots for Boxes ensures children have equal opportunities to participate in sport and its benefits by repurposing good condition football and soccer boots for kids and teens without access. We’re looking for a Boots for Boxes program volunteer who will be integral to ensuring that we can collect enough boots to fill the need!

Key skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365 and learning new digital platforms

Key tasks:
• Responding to program and collection enquiries
• Liaising with collection hosts to arrange pick-ups
• Data entry and other administration tasks of our Boots for Boxes Program

Time commitment:
• Flexible! We’d appreciate someone who is available to volunteer onsite at Edwardstown for approximately 1 day (5 hours) a week.

Communications Volunteer

We’re looking for dynamic Communications Volunteer who will be integral to promoting Treasure Boxes vital community work. With knowledge and confidence in different social media platforms, a way with words and a positive attitude, you’ll work closely with our Marketing and Communication Manager to create, and assist in coordinating, organisation communications: blogs, social media posts, EDMs and anything else you can think of! This role would be perfect for a university student looking to gain real-world experience and content for their portfolio, while also having a positive impact in their community.

Key skills:
• Excellent written communication skills
• Confident in creating content for Facebook and Instagram. If you know how to create videos or TikTok content – even better!
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365 and learning new digital platforms

Key tasks:
• Assist with creating digital content: social media posts, blogs and emails
• Scheduling social media content
• Assist with other marketing and communication tasks as needed

Time commitment:
• Flexible! While this is a role that can easily be done from home, we’d appreciate someone who is available to volunteer onsite at Edwardstown, so you can find the stories on the ground, as they happen

Event Volunteer

We’re looking for an energetic Event Volunteer who will be integral to ensuring Treasure Boxes can continue our vital service in SA. With knowledge of the planning needed behind running a successful event, great people skills and a positive attitude, you’ll work closely with our Marketing and Communication Coordinator, and volunteer Event Committee, to organise Treasure Boxes fundraising events throughout the year. This role would be perfect for an event management student looking to gain real-world experience while also having a positive community impact.

Key skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time-management and attention to detail
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365 and learning new digital platforms

Key tasks:
• Assist with coordinating Treasure Boxes fundraising events, supported by the volunteer Event Committee
• Event admin duties

Time commitment:
• Flexible! While this is a role that can easily be done from home, we’d appreciate someone who is available to volunteer onsite at Edwardstown at least 1 day (5 hours) a week so you can get to know the team

Front Desk Volunteer

We’re looking for a warm, welcoming Front Desk Volunteer who will be the face of the Treasure Boxes. With great admin and customer service skills, you’ll be assisting with donor enquiries, and assisting the team with general admin tasks.

Key skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident with Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365 and learning new digital platforms

Key tasks:
• Answering the Treasure Boxes phone for general enquiries
• Assisting with administration tasks including record management, basic fundraising administration

Time commitment:
We have the following shifts available:
• Tuesdays 10am – 1pm
• Thursdays 10am – 1pm
• Fridays 10am – 1pm

School Compassion Program Volunteer

Aligned with the SACE curriculum, our School Compassion Program provides students with an engaging experience that enhances their compassion, empathy and gives back to their community. Students participate in a structured program with a hands-on experience that immerses them in the world of social responsibility. We’re looking for a passionate School Compassion Program Volunteer who will help encourage inclusion and social responsibility in school students. With great admin skills, customer service skills and the ability to prioritise, you’ll work closely with our Warehouse Coordinator to contact and coordinate schools participating in our School Compassion Program.

Key skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365 and learning new digital platforms

Key tasks:
• Responding to school enquiries
• Assist with managing the school bookings calendar
• Assist with other administration tasks of our School Compassion Program

Time commitment:
• Flexible! We’d appreciate someone who is available to volunteer onsite at Edwardstown for approximately 1 day (5 hours) a week. You are not required to assist with all school sessions, however it would be an additional benefit for you (and us!) if you could help with some.
