Where Can I Donate

All Things

Donations big or small can be delivered to our Treasure Boxes warehouse in Edwardstown. Please check our donation guidelines (below) before dropping off your items to ensure we can accept them.

Small Things

We can accept donations of small items in our donation bins. Examples include children’s clothes, toys, children’s shoes, toiletries (NEW only), nappies (NEW only, all sizes, packets can be opened).  Large donations must be delivered to the Treasure Boxes Edwardstown warehouse during opening times.

We do not accept bath seats.

We accept baby baths that are in great condition with no cracks, stains or mould. The bath must have a plug hole and plug with it.  

We accept good quality unstained Muslin wraps, spit cloths, flannels and bibs.

We do not rehome hanging swings/jumpers or baby swings that are powered by lithium batteries or wall plug

We rehome baby bouncer/swings that are designed for use on the floor.

Please check for the following safety requirements – bouncer is less than 8 years old – it is in good condition with clean fabric and working buckles and straps – it has a 3 or 5 point harness.

We accept front carrying/soft structured buckle carriers that are less than 8 years old.

In working order with all parts. 

We accept baby sleeping bags in good condition with working zips, no frays, rips, tears, or stains.

We accept good quality and clean backpacks, school bags, nappy bags, library bags, toiletry bags, handbags.

We rehome modern bassinets with wide, stable bases.

We do not accept co-sleepers (with zip down sides), baby sleeping pods, moses baskets or bassinets with full material/not mesh sides.

To make sure your bassinet follows Australian product safety standards, please check that:

  • It is less than 8 years old
  • Sides of the bassinet are at least 300mm higher than the mattress top
  • Legs are secure (not folding). If it is on wheels, at least 2 of the 4 must be lockable
  • Any decorative bows, strings, ribbons or other choking hazards have been removed

We accept bed rails that are less than 8 years old and in good, clean condition with all parts included.

We accept good condition books suitable for babies through to teenagers.

We do not accept pregnancy books, or any other adult genre books. 

We rehome bottles and steriliser units, along with bottle accessories (such as bottle bags) as long as they are in new or like-new condition. 

We cannot accept used bottle teats, dummies or teethers.

We accept nursing and feeding pillows in good, clean condition.

We accept manual and electric breast pumps that are in good condition with all working parts.

All donated car restraints need to adhere to mandatory Australian Safety Standards. Please check for the following:

  • There is a manufacturers sticker stating that the restraint complies with mandatory standard AS/NZS 1754, along with the manufacturer and model clearly marked on a grey sticker. Click here for more info
  • The restraint must be less than 8 years old from the date of manufacture and has never been involved in an accident
  • There are no frayed or broken straps, buckles or structural damage and no remnants of food in the fabric

We do not rehome booster seats or any other form of car restraints.

We rehome modern change tables that are less than 8 years old and have edges that are a minimum 100mm height from base.

We rehome clothing for babies, children and teenagers. We accept from size 00000 to (kids) 16, that is in good, clean condition with no tears, stains or fabric pilling. 

We can accept maternity/nursing bras and bralettes in children/teen sizes.

We can rehome clothing in adult sizes if it the cut and style is appropriate for teens (i.e. no workwear). We can rehome bathers and rashies in good, clean condition.

We do not accept porta-cots or cots that have been painted. 

We rehome cots, adhering to the following guidelines:

  • It is less than 8 years from the date of manufacture
  • They comply with current Australian Safety Standard AS2172:2003
  • The manufacturer or supplier and model name/number are clearly stamped along with the date of manufacture
  • Edges are smooth and rounded, with no splinters or damage to the side rails or base slats
  • If the cot has castors, the brakes must be fully functioning
  • Mattresses must be free of stains and without damage to material.  Mattresses must be firm and flat, the same size as the cot
  • All nuts, bolts and rods are included

We rehome high chairs adhering to the following guidelines:

  • The high chair is less than 8 years old with a strong frame and wide, stable base
  • The manufacturer and model number are clearly marked
  • The upholstery is clean and free of food remnants
  • It has a 5-point safety harness
  • Front and back castors must have fully-functioning brakes

We do not accept portable highchair seats that attach to a dining chair or Bumbo seats.

We rehome clean, good condition kitchen and dining essentials, such as:

  • Bowls
  • Cooking utensils (spatulas, tongs, serving spoons, etc.)
  • Cutlery
  • Dinner plates
  • Drinking glasses
  • Frying pans
  • Mugs
  • Plastic food storage containers
  • Saucepans
  • Tea towels

We do not accept decorative/vintage homewares, curtains, sharp knives, alcoholic glassware, electrical items (microwaves, electric fry pans, heaters, fans, etc.)

We can rehome jewellery & accessories that are suitable for children or teenagers.

We do not accept valences, feather or down-filled quilts, blankets, or pillows as they are not machine washable. 

We accept all sizes of quilts, quilt covers, blankets, sheets, and mattress protectors in good, clean condition. 

They don’t need to be complete sets – we can match them. 

We can rehome all sizes of maternity clothes in good, clean condition.

We accept donations of unused and clean disposable nappies.

We can accept open packets. If nappies are loose, please clearly mark the size on the packaging.

We rehome pillows that are new, or in like-new condition. We also accept breastfeeding pillows. 

We do not accept European pillows or decorative pillows.

We do not accept potties with cushioned seats or battery operated potties.

We rehome simple plastic moulded potties, toilet seat step combos and toilet steps that are in good, clean condition with no mould.

We rehome prams and strollers that adhere to Australian Safety Standard AS/NZS 2088:2000.  Please check for the following prior to donating:

  • It is less than 8 years old
  • All wheels, steering and brakes are fully-functioning
  • There is a 5-point safety harness
  • It has the brand/safety tag attached
  • It is clean with no mould 

We can also accept pram accessories such as kickboards, drink holders, rain covers and pram liners

We rehome safety gates. Please remember to:

  • Include all the adjuster screws and bolts
  • Include suction cups for mounting on the wall
  • Include instructions (if available)

We rehome drawer and cupboard locks, power point covers and corner protectors.

We rehome preloved children’s shoes providing they are clean, in good condition and donated as a pair.

Prior to donating, please check there are no holes, significant discolouration or scuff marks.

We can rehome socks for babies, children and teens that are new or in like-new condition.

We accept unused, unopened and in-date toiletries for all ages including:

  • Deodorant (roll-on only)
  • Hair brushes/combs
  • Moisturiser
  • Sanitary items (pads, tampons, liners)
  • Shampoo & conditioner
  • Body wash
  • Nappy cream
  • Soap (liquid & bar)
  • Tooth brushes
  • Toothpaste

We do not accept razors, make-up or other cosmetics, aerosol products (deodorant, body spray, hair spray, etc.)

We do not accept doll houses, large activity centres, walkers, ride on toys, fishing rods, large sports equipment, bath toys, weapons or oversized soft toys.

We rehome small to medium sized toys and activities for babies, children, and teenagers up to 17 years old.

We can rehome stationery/school items in good, like-new condition.

We prefer toys to be 30cm maximum to fit in our boxes.

Please check that all parts are included and item is in good, clean condition.

We accept donations of brand-new underwear in sizes for children and teenagers.
