From Recovery to Ironman: Ashleigh Oakes’ Journey of Grit & Giving

I’m stepping out of my comfort zone, so children and families can step into theirs

Meet Ashleigh Oakes – 21 years old, Panthers player, and Ironman-in-training. Her story is one of unshakable determination.

Just months after knee surgery, Ashleigh taught herself to swim, trained for cycling, and laced up her runners — all to take on the ultimate challenge: Ironman.

Now she’s completing 226km to raise $22,600 for Treasure Boxes — supporting South Australian children and families doing it tough.

Every dollar helps provide essentials like cots, nappies, clothing and toiletries to children in crisis.

Support Ashleigh. Support local families.
